Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

-1 Timothy 1:15-

We have seen throughout The Story God’s people's continuous sin.  God promised his endless love and everlasting faithfulness to His covenant promises, but God’s people refused to listen; they rejected God and His love.

“Astonishingly, it was this very rejection of God that then drew forth the extreme depths of his love. In his response to sin we see deeper than ever into the very being of God.”  - Michael Reeves

God is love!  The Apostle John writes:

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

-1 John 4:8-10

The rejection of God drew forth his audacious love and God came in a manger just as promised - God in the flesh! His name is Jesus. See you Sunday as we jump into chapter 22 of The Story when we celebrate Christmas in September!  It’s time to celebrate the birth of The King who came into the world to save me and to save you.

The angels will introduce us …

“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. -Luke 2:10-11

I can’t wait!

Pastor Austin

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
