August 22-26th, 2022
This week’s Scriptures speak about how we conduct our daily lives. They encourage us to live humbly with God and one another, to be righteous in our dealings with others, to remember that God loves us and to love others in return, and to extend hospitality to those who cannot repay us.
Monday, August 22
Proverbs 25:6-7
The book of Proverbs is all about wisdom and how we should conduct our lives. Today we are taught to live with humility.
 
Tuesday, August 23
Psalm 112
Today’s Psalm mentions many of the blessings and benefits of living a righteous life.
 
Wednesday, August 24
Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16
The text today continues with instructions on how to conduct our lives – holy, shaped by love, and confident that God will always be with us.  
 
Thursday, August 25
 Luke 14:1, 7-14
Once again, we are given a lesson on humility. We are also exhorted to offer hospitality especially to those who cannot repay us.
 
Friday, August 26
We end our week with a prayer.
