Welcome to Redeemer Life!
Today we are congratulating Trisha Rountree on her retirement from Redeemer and celebrating her amazing 13-years on staff.
Trisha started out as a children's and youth ministry volunteer -- helping us bring Bible Lessons to life on the Kingdom Connection stage, and if that wasn't enough, she dove head first into our VBS skits, too. Trisha played so many different characters through the years, if I listed them all in this newsletter, it would turn into a book. This said Trish's favorite, and perhaps most memorable, character was the robe-wearing, New Yorker, 'Mrs. Lipkowicz' from VBS a few years back.

As her kiddos (Brett, Reese, Roni) grew up, Trisha stepped into middle school and senior high youth ministry where she eventually came on staff as our official Ministry Assistant.

Trisha loved working with our youth and the youth loved Trisha. In fact, while her staff role at Redeemer evolved over the years, her contribution to our Youth Ministry programs remained steady. Trisha continues to assist with Youth Ministry whenever the opportunity and/or need arises.

From Ministry Assistant, Trisha stepped into the role of Staff Accountant taking advantage of her schooling and former career as an accountant. Not an easy role, especially in a church! And never one to shy away from a challenge, Trisha most recently stepped up to fill two important gaps on our staff -- Human Resources Director and Office Manager. Many of you affectionately know Trisha as our COVID-19 expert.

We are thankful for Trisha and see God's light shining through her brightly. While she is no longer officially on staff, she is forever a part of our Redeemer family -- a loved Sister-in-Christ.

Please help us congratulate Trisha as she begins this next chapter in her life!

p.s. We love you, Trish!
INTRODUCING: Shut Up & Listen
Today we are excited to launch our new video podcast series, "Shut Up & Listen." A series dedicated to asking the tough questions, exploring real-world issues, and diving deep into scripture.

Earlier this year we asked YOU what you wanted to hear and how we can better fill your cup? Shut Up & Listen is designed to fill your cup.

Each week Pastor Dave will sit down with a different guest -- blessing us with a quiet moment to sit back and listen to candid conversations with real people. Our hope is that we'll not only fill your cup but, we'll also inspire you to keep the conversation going with your friends and family.

To help us launch our Shut Up & Listen podcast, Pastor Dave has invited Redeemer's Ministry Intern Reese Rountree to sit down and discuss the topic of Christian Nationalism. Reese is studying to be a Director of Christian Education (DCE) at Concordia University at Irvine and will be graduating in the Spring.

And with that, let's shut up and listen!
Note, we are still building our formal podcast platform but in the short term, you'll find our Podcasts here in the newsletter, on YouTube, and Facebook.
