MPS Asking Public To Serve On

Steering Committees For School Buildings

Milwaukee Public Schools is seeking interested and committed community members to serve on steering committees that will help guide decisions about its buildings. An interest form is available on the Long-Range Facilities Master Plan website at https://www.mpsfacilitiesplan.com/steering-committees. Submissions to serve on the steering committees will be accepted until January 17, with the first meetings potentially taking place as early as late January.


Selected participants will serve on a citywide and/or regional steering committee to help shape the district’s facilities plan. Meetings will be held monthly.

Group Volunteer Opportunities for

January & February, 2025

Milwaukee Habitat's current build season is drawing to a close, with many of this year's 32 homes now in their final stages.



Current volunteer opportunities are below:

Finishing Tasks (Max 6 Volunteers) - One day (Wednesday - Saturday) During the weeks of January 8th, January 23rd, January 29th, February 5th, February 19th

Painting (Max 12 volunteers) - One day (Wednesday - Saturday) during the week of January 8th


Volunteer opportunities are Wednesday - Saturday ONLY. Volunteer times are always from 8am-3pm.
