Parks for Pollinators Blitz: Grand Finale on Saturday

Join the Skokie Park District and parks throughout the country in a fun challenge to see how many pollinator species are in our community!

Use iNaturalist to photograph and log as many pollinators and plants as you can find in our parks and in Skokie! The data collected will be used by the Skokie Park District to monitor populations of pollinators and plants, as well as acquaint the community with the natural world around them.

Attend this month-long blitz and learn how you can use this as a volunteer opportunity. Participants' names will be entered into a raffle and prizes will be awarded at the Grand Finale (must be present to win a prize).

The Grand Finale will be held on October 1, 2-4 p.m., at Emily Oaks Nature Center.

If you are unable to attend the finale, you may still participate by downloading iNaturalist and making observations in Skokie. Please email us your iNaturalist user ID so that we can link you to your observations.

New to iNaturalist? Here’s a short video on how to make observations.
