Open House, 100 Days, Slight Spring Fever, &

a First Grade Read Aloud... another great week!

Our annual Open House last weekend was wonderfully attended and has already resulted in new enrollments for the 2022-2023 school year. It was such a pleasure to open our doors wide to welcome so many new families of preschoolers as well as those of older students. Our student ambassadors, along with Frankie the Rebel gave a warm St. Francis welcome to our potential new families! Our enrollment is looking solid for the 2022-2023 school year, and we ask that if you have not already done so, that you please

re register your child(ren) to secure their seat for the upcoming school year.

This past week's highlight was the tremendous accomplishment of completing our 100th day of school! Students and faculty got "into the spirit" by dressing as 100 year olds, and classrooms were sprinkled with gray hair, glasses, canes, hair curlers and "age appropriate" attire. Celebrating our 100th day in our 100th year was certainly a milestone moment.

The warmer weather at the end of the week had students thinking "outside of the box" creating new games and funny antics. Speaking of funny, Father Ryan spent some time this week in Grade 1! Father did a read aloud of Max Lucado's "Small Gifts in God's Hands" which has a beautiful message!

Enjoy the weekend & God bless!

From the Office:

**Extended Statements for January and February will be sent home the first Friday of March. If you'd like one earlier than that, please let me know.

**If you have completed re-enrollment you may have noticed that you are being asked to set up a payment plan in FACTS, where you may not have had to do that before, and even if you have. This is a Diocesan requirement and a step that must be completed by all families, even those who elect to be invoiced in August, or have had agreements simply rollover in the past. For those families, FACTS will NOT charge the account set-up fee. If you did not complete the tuition set-up step, your re-enrollment packet is most likely not submitted on our end. If you're unsure, please check the packet status in the Family Portal. It hasn't been without issues, so please let us know if you have any questions/problems.

My Brother's Keeper is a wonderful ministry located in Dartmouth which delivers food and furniture to families in need. Many students from Bishop Stang volunteer their time to assist with this mission. Fly on the Wall Heard in the Hall....

Again this week a dismissal conversation, this time with a kindergarten boy.

Student: "Mrs. Russo, I pretty much think I broke my leg."

Me (perplexed): "Really?"

(as the boy was clearly standing on both of his legs, not appearing to be in any pain whatsoever)

Student: "Yeah, I think it might be broken, I mean it sure feels broken." (as he lifts leg and bends at the knee)

Me: "How do you think you might have broken it? "

Student: "Well, yesterday I did a split.

Like a full on split."
