We had a wonderful evening last Thursday celebrating our 2022 Boys Lacrosse State Championship team. A special thank you to the following who honored these fine young men at the ceremony: Senator Andrew Brenner, Representative Mary Lightbody, Councilmember Emmanuel Remy, Superintendent Dr. Adam Dufault, and CCL Commissioner (and Assistant Principal!) Mr. Jim Jones. Comments from Principal Garrick, Athletic Director Mr. Tom Neubert, and Head Coach Matt Triplet rounded out this first-class event.

Required Summer Reading for all students: Please choose one book to read from your class list. Each work contains a hyperlink to a summary from Goodreads.com to help you in your selection.

Students in an Advanced Placement class are required to complete additional summer assignments. This includes English, World Languages, Science, Computer Science, Math, Art, and Social Studies.

Charity Newsies is pleased to serve the children of Franklin County for the 115th year! SFD is one of a select number of schools that they provide vouchers to families for purchase of school clothing from their uniform store partners. Charity Newsies seeks to assist families who need school clothing assistance for their children in grades K-12. This year, they hope to serve many of our families before school starts with this trial opportunity of a "Voucher Only" application before their regular application is available online. This "Voucher Only" application allows them to get vouchers to families more quickly than a normal application. Essentially, everyone who applies has the opportunity to pick up their voucher Friday of the week they apply. This voucher allows $75 to use towards school uniform pieces at three of their participating stores.
