To the Members and Stakeholders of the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce,

The Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce has worked hard to support its nearly 900 members throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Keeping business owners and their employees safe and business doors open has been our top priority. We were fortunate to be able to host our second annual golf tournament as well as the Tri Expo & MARKETPLACE over the summer; both of which were very successful.

As COVID-19 case numbers begin to rise, we have been put in the regrettable position of having to make difficult decisions once again. As we continue to focus on the health and safety of the people who make this region great, we have decided to postpone all in-person events for the foreseeable future.

The adjustments include our upcoming Acheson Networking Event with Keynote Speaker Graham Sherman and our Wabamun Pancake Breakfast. We have also moved both the municipal and federal electoral forums to a virtual platform, with more details coming soon. Plans for Small Business Week have had to be pivoted before we were able to even make an announcement, but we continue to plan virtually for October 19-20. Our annual Business Awards of Distinction will be moved into the new year, when we can look forward to celebrating with little to no restrictions.

While we also continue to recognize so many business’s milestone events, we will share in their excitement once it is safe for everyone to do so.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we move through this fourth wave of the pandemic. We look forward to seeing all of you when it is safe for everyone to meet, and can’t wait to spend time with you again!

Take care and stay safe,
Sarah Parry
