2021 Member Food Drive
This amount on this year's check was $6,594.
This will help 2nd Harvest serve meals to about 33,000 neighbors in our community who are food-insecure.

For those wishing to nominate a REALTOR® member for an Association Officer or Director position that is not on the initial Slate of Candidates, Nominating Petitions will be available from the Association office Monday, November 8th through Monday, November 22nd. At this time, you may call Shayla at 326-9222 to request a petition.
Deadline to return petitions is end of business day Monday, November 22nd.
ALL VOTING WILL BE DONE ELECTRONICALLY!
You will receive Notice on Wednesday, November 24th of the "Final Slate of Candidates".
Voting begins on Monday, November 29th. You will receive your ballot via email.
Deadline to fill out ballots will be Wednesday, December 15th, 4:30 p.m.
Our new leaders will be announced at our Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, December 16th, at CenterPlace Regional Event Center in Spokane Valley.

The SAR offers a full schedule of virtual classes to help members satisfy their professional development requirements to keep their REALTOR® status current.

Code of Ethics cycle ends
December 31, 2021
Your Code of Ethics status will appear in the top-left corner on your home screen if you've completed the class.
All brokers must take this class once every three years.
We're currently in the cycle 1/1/2019-12/31/2021.
Please note for new agents, completing your first two-year renewal, you must first take the 7.5-hour Code of Ethics and Fair Housing class, within 3 months of joining the SAR, and then you will be eligible for ethics training of not less than three hours of instructional time during the next two-year cycle.
The NAR Code of Ethics Class offered at the SAR is a 3.5-hour class called "Code of Ethics for Real Estate Professionals".
Your membership will be suspended, until the class is completed, if this requirement is not met.

Since HUD is a major mortgage lender, they also must deal with foreclosures, like any other lender. In the event of a foreclosure, HUD will have to sell the defaulted property to get back the money lost on the loan. Since HUD deals with such a high volume of mortgages, they are well equipped to handle a high level of foreclosures as well. HUD ends up selling a great deal of foreclosures throughout the country every year, and for buyers and real estate investors, they can be very profitable purchases. HUD homes often sell for anywhere from 30% to 60% less than their market value, simply because they are foreclosures.

This mandatory course will include: An introduction and discussion of intentions, goals, and purposes in properly completing the new Purchase & Sale Agreement; the deposit, parties and property; financing and the financing contingencies, title insurance and transfer and inspections; representations and disclosure; and remaining provisions.
This class must be taken once every four years.

Class Cancellation Policy:
A refund will be granted until 3:30 p.m. three days prior to the class, after which time there will be a 50% refund.
Anyone not showing up for class will not be given a refund.
