Vehicle Sticker Deadline: June 30, 2021
The deadline to purchase and display Village vehicle stickers is June 30, 2021. You are required to purchase and display a current Glen Ellyn vehicle sticker for all vehicles registered to a Glen Ellyn address. This includes leased vehicles, company cars and vehicles kept outside of the Village.

To avoid lines at the Civic Center, vehicle sticker payments are encouraged to be made online, through the mail, or placed in the drop box located in front of the Civic Center.

Yard Waste and Branch & Brush Program
The Village of Glen Ellyn offers both yard waste service and free branch and brush collection for residents. Below indicates the difference between the two programs.
Yard Waste stickers can be purchased at the following locations:
  • Finance Department in the Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 1st Floor (535 Duane Street)
  • Jewel/Osco (599 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn)
  • Jewel/Osco (2031 Main Street, Wheaton)
  • Len's Ace Hardware (485 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn)
  • Pete's Market (880 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn)

Branch & Brush pick-up can take through Thursday of the scheduled week. The schedule is as follows:
  • Hill Avenue and North of Hill Avenue: Second Monday of the Month (This month is June 14)
  • South of Hill Avenue: Third Monday of the Month (This month is June 21)

Village Links: Have One On Us
Village Links of Glen Ellyn's 'Have One On Us' Appreciation Event and Tournament takes place on Saturday, June 5.

Tournaments on the 9 and 18 hole courses are scheduled from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is also a junior 9-hole tournament, open to the first 80 entrants, from 3:10 to 6:30 p.m.

In addition, the appreciation event includes:
  • Free driving range from 5:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Straight drive contest on hole 4.
  • Long drive contest on hole 15.
  • Closest to the pin contest on hole 8.
  • Any hole-in-one wins a season pass for 2022.
  • 50 Keys to the Links will randomly be drawn which includes unlimited golf and driving range with cart, for you and a guest for one day.

Experience Everything Frida This Summer in Glen Ellyn
This Saturday, June 5 marks the start of the Frida Kahlo Timeless Exhibit at The Cleve Carney Museum of Art and the McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. The exhibition, on view through September 6, 2021, will be the most comprehensive presentation of Kahlo’s work displayed in the Chicago area in over 40 years. For more information on the exhibition and to purchase tickets, visit www.frida2021.org

The Village of Glen Ellyn, the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn have partnered together, along with our businesses, to bring tourism into Glen Ellyn to showcase the amazing storefronts and vibrant restaurants in our community.

In celebration of the exhibit, Glen Ellyn has a number of experiences throughout the summer that both residents and visitors alike can enjoy. Find Frida Scavenger Spans the Month of June
Grab the kids and join the free scavenger hunt to Find Frida throughout Downtown Glen Ellyn during the month of June!

Find Frida scavenger hunt maps can be picked-up at The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn, 475 N. Main Street. Locate 20 Frida dolls in participating storefronts downtown, and validate your map at each location. Turn in the completed card before July 3 at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane Street, to be entered to win great prizes!

Frida Interactive Wall Art Up Around Downtown
New Frida interactive wall art is up around downtown! The five different locations include:
  • The Civic Center pedway (western wall)
  • 534 Duane Street (across from the Civic Center)
  • 475 N. Main Street
  • 558 Crescent Boulevard (Forest Avenue side of the building)
  • 486 Pennsylvania Avenue
Village Links Now Hiring for Grounds Help
The Village Links of Glen Ellyn is now hiring for grounds help. Email Andrew Cross, Golf Course Superintendent, for more information. For details on employment at the Links, visit their website.
DuPage County Sheriff's Office Offers Free Meals For Seniors
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office has partnered with the DuPage Senior Citizens' Council to offer free meals for senior citizens. DuPage residents 60 and older can receive five frozen meals, per senior, once a month through September. These meals have been fully cooked and frozen, so seniors will only need to reheat them.

Meals can be picked-up at the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, 421 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. Pick-up dates include:
  • Saturday, June 26
  • Saturday, July 24
  • Saturday, August 28
  • Saturday, September 25

COVID-19 Updates
Community Vaccination Clinic: Open to Ages 12+
The DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton is open to everyone 12 years and older. Walk-ins are welcome. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them. Save time and pre-register before your visit here.
Current hours for the Community Vaccination Clinic include:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: 11:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
