Learning and Development Executive Director Priti Johari, along with Directors Raquel Kusunoki and Maurissa Koide and Coordinator Stacey Lillard, introduced the 2022 Summer Program Presentation to the Board and community at the September 13 meeting.
They were joined by Summer School administrators Nichol Klein, Anastasia Hrissafinis, Andrew Dinh and Amanda Gross, who each highlighted different summer programs offered by MUSD.
As part of the Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) grant, MUSD prioritized supplemental instruction and supports for students, including targeted support for students identified as belonging to one of the following groups: low income students, English language learners, foster/homeless youth, students with disabilities, disengaged students, and/or students who are below grade level.
This summer, MUSD ran several credit recovery and intervention programs for students across all grade levels. The programming included in-person and hybrid programming. The programs include:
- High School Credit Recovery
- English Learners
- Middle Bridge program
- Love 4 Literacy
- Extended School Year (ESY)
- Math Jam
