Dear LNC HS Parents,

This communication contains important beginning of the school year information for you and your student. Please read it carefully and save it for your reference.

STUDENT PARKING PASSES

As previously communicated, students will come to the MPR on August 9 and 10 to receive their parking passes.

  • August 9 from 9:00-11:00AM for seniors
  • August 10 from noon to 2:00PM for juniors, sophomores and anyone else

Payments MUST be made to the LNC PayPal link on the website PRIOR to coming for your pass and you MUST have a copy of your receipt with you.

At that time, student(s) will need:

  • to have a valid driver's license
  • to know the make, model, color and license tag for the vehicle(s) they will drive
  • the names and grades of any ES or MS students who will be riding in their car
  • a copy of their 2022 spring semester report card (mailed in June)
  • a copy of their PayPal receipt of payment

Students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and no F's on their last semester grades (spring 2022-semester 2)

Please refer to the student handbook for the complete guideline and requirements for a parking pass. For more information visit this page.

CARPOOL

Student safety is our #1 priority during carpool drop off and pick up!

Always give the carpool staff 100% of your attention and follow their directions at all times when in carpool. We will all need to be extra patient during carpool as we return to school. As always, carpool will take extra time until new drivers learn the procedures. Please be understanding and plan accordingly.

The HS carpool route is unchanged this year. Helpful information about setting up a carpool, carpool beginning and ending times and transportation options is available here. Please familiarize yourself with the HS carpool maps so you understand the flow:

HS Student Only

Dual HS & MS Carpool

Morning Carpool

Carpool at the high school begins at 7:15AM and ends at 7:40AM.

If you also have a MS student to drop off, you may do so at the HS at 7:30AM or after. Do NOT arrive at the HS campus and attempt to drop your MS student off prior to 7:30AM as there is no supervision for our MS students before then. Once your MS student exits your vehicle they will follow the sidewalk to the campus crosswalk (see map) and be escorted across the main campus drive by a staff member.

Afternoon Carpool

Afternoon carpool at the high school begins at 2:50PM. There are no placards, car tags or carpool numbers needed. High school students may only be picked up in HS carpool; they are not permitted to walk to the MS to meet their carpool in the MS carpool line. Middle school students may not be picked up at the HS; if you are picking up both HS and MS students, you will pick up your MS students first and then follow the Verhoeff Road exit directions to pick up your HS students (see the Dual HS & MS carpool map).

PTO LUNCH PROGRAM

At LNC, students bring their lunches to school each day. However, as an easy and tasty alternative, the PTO offers a program where students pre-order lunches from external vendors and the lunches are distributed to students. In addition to eliminating the need to pack a lunch each day, the LNC lunch program is a fun and easy way to support our PTO, and in turn our teachers and students. The lunch program is the PTO's largest fundraiser. Whether you are ordering lunches for your child or volunteering to serve the prepackaged meals, you are supporting the PTO and your volunteer hours count toward your Serve10 goal. Opportunities to volunteer will be posted on Schoology.

The first lunch ordering period opens Wednesday, August 10 and closes at 11:59pm on Monday, August 22. Lunches are distributed September 6-23. Here is a list of the lunch order periods.

How to Order Lunches

LNC’s PTO lunch program uses OrgsOnline Software Services for our lunch order program. All lunch orders must be placed and paid for online.

Families new to LNC will need to set up an account with OrgsOnline. Returning LNC families will use the same account login information as last year. Following are instructions for using the lunch order system:

  • First time users create your online account: Click here
  • Returning users with students moving from ES to MS or MS to HS: Click here - Please note: after you add your student to their new school, you must remove their profile from their former (ES or MS) school to avoid ordering at the wrong school.
  • Returning users with no changes from last year: Click here
  • Submit an order: Click here
  • Confirm your order: Click here
  • Change your order (during open ordering period): Click here

OrgsOnline may prompt you for the following LNC school codes:

  • High School: 243LNHSNCNC
  • Middle School: 244LNMSNCNC
  • Elementary School: 454LNESNCNC

Please place your order at www.orgsonline.com. Each family has only one "family account" for all students. It is important that lunch orders are placed online at the school your child attends because the lunch options and vendor delivery dates are different at each school. The name of the school is located at the top of the page once you log into the system, so please double check that you are in the correct school for each student prior to placing your order.

Here are a few additional tips:

  • Set up your account and place your order as early as possible so that we can help you prior to the close of the order period.
  • You will receive a reminder email at the beginning and end of each ordering period if you answered "yes" to receive system emails. You can change or confirm your answer under "update my information."
  • All orders must be paid for prior to the close of the order period. Any unpaid orders remaining after the order period closes will not be processed.
  • The system will not accept late orders; please be sure to submit and pay for your order early.
  • If you forget your password or need help, you can select "forgot my password" or "get help" on the login page; or email the coordinator at:
  • HS: Mandi Hamlin (hslunches@lncharter.org)
  • MS: Catherine Drago (mslunches@lncharter.org)
  • ES: Erin Meyer (eslunches@lncharter.org)
