Personal Health While Fighting for Public Health
Staying strong while flattening the curve
Bay Area and Contra Costa residents have stepped up in an amazing way in responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

We are a strong community and we are rising to this challenge.

Going through this is strenuous. Physical distancing for an extended period takes a toll on us.

But we can't forget our personal health while we support our public health.

The best health advice comes down to a few things - eating a balanced and healthy diet, exercising regularly, sleeping well, reducing stress, and nourishing healthy relationships with people and pets.

The good news is there has never been more ways to stay well while sheltering at home, thanks to technology.

I've selected a few of the great opportunities that are out there to stay healthy, engaged and connected. Check them out!

Or, if you want to go outside, visit one of East Bay Regional Park's locations and practice physical distancing.

Remember our Contra Costa Health Department's catchy rule of thumb:

"Stay in place, maintain your space, cover your face!"
