Can you believe 2024 has come and gone!

Please enjoy our last quarter review.

OCTOBER

Hurricanes Helene and Milton gave us a "stormy" start this quarter. Storm anxieties piled on top of the normal anxieties of early healing and recovery. We quickly had to adapt to soothe our girls with "Storm Buddies," games, walks, the movie Inside Out 2, coping worksheets, and LOTS of connection with our awesome Care Team.

For our ladies, it was their FIRST SOBER HURRICANE!

NOVEMBER

We were blessed by the Celebration Sisters of Celebration Church Belleview. This group of ladies collected a pile of paper, plastic, and cleaning products, and more for the house. Plus they gave a cash donation.

Another round of Freedom from Codependency for our Outreach Services started this quarter and staff enjoyed some Temperament Education with Dave Scott from Shadetree Counseling.

One of our House Mentors, Stephanie Berry, celebrated 4 years of sobriety--a monumental milestone for her! And our beautiful building received the finishing touch of shutters.

Also, the Rock Program shared their overstock of planners with us. We are so thankful for so many relationships in the community.

We enjoyed the "Faithful Still" YogaFaith retreat. Carol shared many Christian resources for prayer, grief, and stress reduction. We spent a whole hour for healing grief, we made prayer bracelets, and enjoyed healthy snacks.

About 50 men and women gathered for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner led by our own Sue Belshaw.

Thank you to His Compassion for donating gift cards to cover the costs of this dinner!

DECEMBER

We were blessed by our friends from South Point Church with a workday! They cleaned out our shed and hauled everything away, trimmed and removed bushes, fixed a few floor tiles, repaired a toilet, and painted our women's bathroom in our outreach building.

We celebrated another Trauma Reboot graduation the week of Christmas. 6 women went into the holiday feeling more equipped, refreshed, and lighter.

Michelle invited Ms. Sue to attend her work Christmas party with her and Becca did some holiday baking.

New Year's Eve was super special this year as just short of 30 people gathered for inspiration and fun. Pinterest had been consulted and the room hummed with stories and creativity as Prayer Boards for 2025 were assembled. We even included an unexpected blessing over the children gathered with us. This has been deemed a new annual event for us!

Then we ran over to Celebrate Recovery at Celebration Church Belleview to cheer on our Michelle who received her 1-year chip for sobriety! We are so proud of her!

LOOKING FORWARD TO

CONTINUED GREAT WORK IN 2025

We exist and work very hard because women deserve a chance to triumph over trauma and a place to become whole.

Your support makes all of this possible!

Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts!
