New Cryo-EM Innovations

Manual Plunge Cooler and Ethane Cryostat System

MiTeGen Manual Plunge Cooler and Cryostat System

See below for video of the manual plunge cooler.

Manual Plunge Cooler Video

Our latest innovation is a bench top system for optimizing your vitrification workflow for Cryo-EM. It consists of a manual plunge cooler, an ethane cryostat and temperature controller. Available as a complete system or each component individually.

Developed in collaboration with Dr. Christopher Russo, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, users can confidently prepare grids using a time-tested design that is optimized for results and easy use.

Great for preparing grids for single particle analysis (SPA), cryogenic electron tomography (Cryo-ET), micro-crystal electron diffraction (MicroED), and more!

Choosing a Microscope Made Easy

Research labs need great equipment for better results. Having a high-quality stereo microscopes for sample screening and preparation in crystallography and cryo-EM can make a big difference to researchers.

To make life easier, we've generated microscope bundles for every size lab and budget. Our kits offer the features that matter the most to researchers and are generated by one of the leading optics manufacturer in the world, Carl Zeiss.
