Save the Date: Secondary Transition Institute 2022

May 17-18, 2022  | 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.


SchoolTalk, the D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education’s Division of Post Secondary Careers & Education (PCE), and the DC Secondary Transition Community of Practice (DC STCoP) will host a D.C. Secondary Transition Institute for local education agencies and community organizations. 


Participants will increase their knowledge about secondary transition for students with disabilities and be given the opportunity to gather resources and meet with individuals from across the District who are working diligently on improving post-school outcomes for students with disabilities.


This year’s Institute will be virtual and centered on Bridging the Gap: Secondary Transition is College & Career Readiness for Students with Disabilities

DC3C CPP Obtainment 2022

The purpose of the DC Special Education Cooperative's CPP Obtainment Program is to increase the number of people [with disabilities] who complete training programs that prepare them for jobs in high-demand fields by offering a paid work-based learning experience leading to integrated employment.

ArtStream 2022 Winter Classes

ArtStream’s classes, workshops, and performing companies fuel each student’s imagination, creativity, and focus. And that’s not all. Students improve communication and social skills and develop friendships. Newly discovered talents and capabilities 

improve self-esteem, poise, and confidence that extend into their daily lives. Classes are accessible, empowering, and engaging. ArtStream’s demanding and very entertaining process encourages ArtStreamers to discover their creativity and strengths, and perform with confidence.
