Truth and Reconciliation Day
September 30th is a day to commemorate and learn about the history and legacy of the residential school system.
It’s a day to honour the resilience, dignity and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors, to acknowledge and accept their experiences at Residential School and remember the children who never came home.
BeConnected's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee hosted a Lunch & Learn on an Introduction to Indigenous Cultural Awareness.
Members of the BeConnected community showed support by wearing orange as a symbol of hope, reconciliation, and a commitment to a better future.
