Message from the Principal
Dear DHS Staff, Students, and Families,

November is National Gratitude Month, a time to celebrate and give thanks. Hosting School Chest during November seems to be fitting, as we spend three weeks focusing on giving to others in such a meaningful way. Research shows that gratitude is part of the psychological foundation that prompts us to “give back” in many ways. It encourages us to return favors to our friends, neighbors, and family members. And gratitude inspires us to help others in society as a whole. I am genuinely grateful to our School Chest student committee and sponsors for organizing daily opportunities for us to generously give to others. Whether you purchase food at lunch, buy Paws for Patrick apparel, or volunteer your time to support an event - you are making a difference. Check out ways to get involved below!

Sincerely,
Principal Kathryn Anderson
