After a very dry and hot summer most parts of Manitoba received some much-needed rainfall from the latter part of August through October. Most courses are now in the process of winterizing irrigation systems, applying plant protectants and installing winter covering systems. Most courses are reporting very financially successful years with the increase in interest in golf continuing through the 2nd summer of the pandemic. It has been very busy around the province for many as this extra windfall is finding its way onto the golf courses as nearly everyone I have spoken with is performing project work of some kind or another.

After a wonderful season and fall closing, most of the golf courses, in our “ belle province” are finalizing their end of season projects. Most of the courses are preparing for next season. They will also be installing their protective tarps, over the course of the next few weeks.
Despite the weather conditions this past spring, along with the lack of rain during the entire summer period, the majority of the courses were able to cater to their golfers and give them excellent playing conditions.
