Mental Health @ School

Hello Everyone!
We encourage all staff and administrators to join and learn about mental health from our wonderful youth who have put this all together themselves (Parents and students are welcome to join as well).
Join us to listen to our youth panelists and mental health professionals talk about depression, LGBTQIA+, coping mechanisms, how COVID-19 has affected youth mental health, and many more issues that affect your students. The event is youth-led and aimed towards administration, teachers, parents, and students.  Through our “Mental Health at School” Event, we, the youth, hope to use our power to promote visibility for the challenges we face with mental health to develop a more accommodating school environment to benefit students’ wellbeing.

If you are interested in joining us, the event will take place on
September 27, 2022 through Zoom from 4:30 pm to 6:30.

Teen Yoga Classes!!

Is your high school student interested in yoga? Join instructor Paige Benjamin at the Millbrae Recreation Center for Teen Yoga and Mindfulness! Students will practice pose sequences designed to help them to discover greater strength, flexibility, focus, self-discipline, and relaxation while building body awareness and confidence. This class is a perfect complement to busy academic and extracurricular schedules, helping create connections with others and themselves, and leaving them refreshed and ready for the outside world. Yoga can help teens learn to regulate their mental and emotional states, and in turn relieve stress to promote better focus clarity, and creativity.

Teen Yoga and Mindfulness is a 60-minute class offered on
Wednesdays from 10/19-11/30 from 4:15pm - 5:15pm, for 12 - 17 year olds.
