It was a busy week to say the least. From Lap-Top Roll-out and Picture Day to Staff Breakfast, Senior Sunrise and RHS Block Party, we came together and made the first week of school go smoothly for students and staff.

There truly is no wrong or right way to be involved – anything you can give, whether it’s time or money, will support your student’s potential. We invite you to join because we can do more together than apart. Becoming a member does not require any time commitment or volunteering. By simply joining, you show you support the RHS community and have the ability for your voice to heard by voting at General Membership meetings. There is strength in numbers and a strong PTSA starts with a large membership base. RHS PTSA supports our students, teacher and staff with school and department grants, programs such as SAT/ACT practice testing, scholarships for graduating seniors, senior events, sustainability, beautification, e-Prep, and raising awareness of the need for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in our school community, just to name a few.  

A great way to learn more about RHS PTSA is to attend virtually our first General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Principal VandeVeer and a staff member will be joining us at each General Membership Meeting followed by Coffee with the Principal at 7:00 p.m.

REFLECTIONS THEME COMPETITION

Each year, National PTA seeks a theme for the Reflections program year to be held two years from now. This year students are asked to submit a theme for the 2023-2024 program year. The due date for submitting a theme search entry is November 1, 2021. The student who submits the winning entry will receive $100 and his or her theme will be presented at the annual National PTA Convention in June 2022.

PRACTICE SAT/ACT EXAMS

Practice SAT/ ACT sign-ups are here!

RHS PTSA in partnership with Princeton Review is offering all RHS and other local students to take practice exams in SAT/ ACT in Fall or Spring.

These full-length practice tests, administered by The Princeton Review, offer students the opportunity to practice test taking strategies and determine baseline scores prior to taking the official SAT and ACT college entrance exams. Please note that Fall Practice exams will be held online. Tests results will be available within minutes of completion of the exam in the form of a detailed Score Report that identifies individual strengths and areas for improvement. Scores are not reported to anyone other than the student.
