The Family Fiesta was a great event for our DeSales family. A special thank you to the planning committee for making it so special. Orale Guëy provided amazing food and attendees brought a variety of authentic dishes. Students led games and activities that children and adults joyfully participated in. We look forward to hosting the event again and seeing you all there next year!

Chaplain’s Corner
Praised be Jesus Christ! During October, the Church reminds us of the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. As Respect Life month, not only do we work to protect the unborn, but we work to protect the dignity and value of every human person. We do this by serving the hungry, thirsty, naked, homeless, sick, imprisoned, and the dead. This month, may we seek new ways to serve others by giving them our time and presence.
October is also the month of the Holy Rosary. Through praying the Rosary, we ask for the intercession of Our Mother Mary, who has a unique relationship with Christ. When we offer our intentions to her, she shines them up, as if they were beautiful treasures, before giving them to Our Lord. So, this month, we can grow in our spiritual works of mercy by praying for the living, especially the unborn, through the devotion of the Rosary.

Loving God, you instructed the Pharisee that you desire purity of the heart. Help us, your people, always to yearn to truly serve you, not by appearance, but by opening our hearts and our lives to your loving will. Grant us a spirit of generosity so that we may always grow in holiness and love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
