The Oklahoma Health Care Authority is holding upcoming virtual town hall meetings on Sept. 29 and Oct. 5. that are open to all providers. These sessions will answer questions relating to the agency’s new delivery model, SoonerSelect. The focus will be on the needs of medical providers. October 1 begins the reporting of 2023 ICD-10-CM Diagnosis Codes
|
|
1,176 new, 28 revised, and 287 deleted codes to be used for patient encounters and discharges occurring from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.

There are other codes that may be pertinent to some practices. For example, there were changes to Neoplasms, Diabetes, and Injury due to external causes, as well as more added codes for “Social Determinants of Health.”

The deadline to nominate a deserving colleague or institution for an Apollo Award is this Friday, Sept. 30!
The Apollo Award is the highest award presented to the general public by the OAOP. It honors persons or organizations for distinguished service to the visual welfare of the public. The Apollo recognizes:
- Individuals who have performed a significant public service for the visual welfare of others;
- Educational institutions and organizations;
- Research programs;
- Civic and community groups.
