Organizational Grantees, Applicants!

Request Your SAM-UEI Today!

The federal government is transitioning from the use of DUNS Numbers to a new Unique Entity ID (UEI). Beginning April 4, 2022, all organizations applying for funding will be required to have a UEI. This ID is a 12-character alphanumeric value assigned, managed, and owned by the federal government through SAM.gov.

We encourage all organizations who currently receive funding, have received funding in the past, and are planning to apply for future funding to request a UEI before April 4, 2022. Getting a UEI is 100% free.

Note: You can get a UEI for your organization without having to complete a full entity registration. A full entity registration is only necessary if you wish to bid on government contracts and apply for federal assistance.

Here are a couple of ways to learn how to get your UEI: Read the "Guide to Getting a Unique Entity ID” pdf or watch this 8-minute video walk-through.
