"Who Do You Say I Am?"

Online Worship – 9:30 and 11 a.m.: The Rev. Justin LaRosa

Indoor Worship9:30 a.m.: The Rev.Justin LaRosa

In his sermon last Sunday, Pastor Magrey considered the end of David's reign as king of Israel and the final lesson for us to learn from this sermon series. Instead of recognizing God's blessings, David concluded he was responsible for the greatness of Israel. His pride cost Israel dearly and our pride is the root cause of some of the greatest harm we cause to ourselves or others. Hear his sermon and others in our Archive here.

New Series Sunday: "Questions Jesus Asked"

Our next sermon series, "Questions Jesus Asked," considers a favorite method Jesus used in responding to the questions of others. His questions were often more provocative than the ones asked of him. Each one cuts right to the heart of what it means to be human, and offers challenge and encouragement in strengthening our relationship with God. They provide a fuller understanding of the things Jesus really cared about, and show us where we can place our priorities as well.

Gatsby "Dressed as a Friend" Art Exhibit

GatsbyNotArt is an artist, who like all of us, is human. His latest multimedia installation, “Dressed As A Friend,” reinterprets Jesus’ metaphor of wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing to examine some of today’s most pressing issues: racial injustice, over-consumption, over-sexualizaton of women, addiction, and society’s constant search for external validation. His controversial presentation makes his point of view clear on current events and social issues…and is a mirror to materialism, over consumption, desire, drive and shame. 6 p.m. Saturday, July 31 The Portico
