This Weekend in Lakeside
Stroll through the charming streets of Lakeside and the downtown business district to browse and purchase unique pieces of art, meet the talented artists, and gain a deeper appreciation for the local art scene. The Art Walk & Night Market will showcase the work of artists, potters, woodworkers, jewelry makers, glass artists, quilters, soap makers and more. Plus, there will be live music, food vendors and Lakeside activities. See below.

The Slack House is serving up specials for College Game Day, including chips & dip, queso, hot dogs, burgers and shakes. Watch the games during your meal. We're also open late for Art Walk guests.

The Rhein Center, on the corner of Walnut Avenue and Sixth Street, offers an Open Studio every Saturday. All ages are invited to decorate a wooden or paper maché item with paint, markers or stickers.
Transform an ordinary pizza pan, cookie sheet or charger into a welcoming door hanger or wall art. This class for ages 14+ is led by Martha Adamsky. Register now!
Knit a cap or hat with a beard attached to stay toasty warm. Choose from a classic Santa hat or gnome cap. Some knitting experience required. Class is led by Dee Baker. Register now!
Led by the Rev. Karen Graham and organized by the Lakeside United Methodist Church, this service offers a vibrant style of worship. Rain location: Lakeside United Methodist Church.
Join us on Walnut Plaza on Monday nights throughout the year to rack your brain with fun facts and compete for Trivia Night prizes and bragging rights. Rain location: Slack House Historic Café.
After Labor Day, a Chautauqua Pass is not required to enter Lakeside. The Fifth St. Gate is accessible 24 hours. East/West Second St. and Cedar Ave. Gates are closed 9 p.m.-6 a.m. East Fourth St. and South Gates are closed from 11 p.m.-6 a.m.

We’re excited to welcome SmoothieSide to the community! The smoothie shop is now open in the heart of the business district at 208 W. Second Street, next door to Whistle Stop.

Donna (Todd) Edwards is the owner and grew up coming to Lakeside. She recently moved back to the area after living in Kentucky. It’s her first business venture, but it’s not her first job at Lakeside.
