September 25, 2021 BDG Workshop - Growing Bamboo
If you want to increase your gardening knowledge and skills, the Bellevue Demonstration Garden (BDG) Workshop series can help you. A broad range of topics which are based on scientific information emphasizing plants and methods that work in the Pacific Northwest will be discussed. ience and techniques are emphasized. Participants can expect to learn about new methods and plants as well as the tried and true. Topics will vary from vegetable to ornamental cultivation and may discuss blending both in your garden beds.
The speaker for this presentation on Growing Bamboo is James Clever. James has been passionate about bamboo his whole life and is a past president of the American Bamboo Society. His expertise with bamboo in the garden covers every aspect of it from proper siting, plants selection, correct installation and containment systems including control or removal if needed.
Instructions for joining the Zoom classes will be sent to registrants at 7:30AM the day of the class. Classes will be held on Saturdays. Access to Zoom will be open at 9:00AM the day of the class. You must register for this class to receive the Zoom instructions. A minimum donation of $5 is suggested for this class.
