ACS NEWS & ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

**Please stay after chapel for a time of fellowship! We are excited to be able to facilitate a time of fellowship after any Theme and Praise & Worship chapel for those who come to worship with us! A small treat will be provided in the gym and we would love for you to stick around for a half hour to take the opportunity to build our ACS community!

Vision Event Invitation

We are extending an invitation to you to attend one of our Vision Events. What is a Vision Event? This is an opportunity to hear about the history of the school, understand the mission and vision of ACS, hear some of the initiatives of the school, and get a fuller picture of where the school is headed. This is not a fundraising event, but one where we share the awesome things God is doing and where He is leading the school!

We are excited to share this with all those who would attend, so please feel free to pass this invitation along to others in the ACS community (invite grandparents or even a neighbor who is interested in hearing more about Allendale Christian)!

Grandparents Day: The Grandparents Day Committee has selected Friday, May 5, 2023 as the date that the Grandparents Day program will be held. More details will be provided as we get closer to that date. With our growth, it is likely that the program will have to be done twice in order to have all Grandparents be able to have a chance to watch their grandkids.

Absences due to illness: For the current school year, students will be able to return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours and have significantly improved symptoms. Families have the option to keep a student home longer if they choose. Quarantines will not be mandated for students and staff that have been exposed to an illness.

Volunteer Opportunity! Throughout the course of the month, teachers will have the opportunity to meet with their grade-level team and our Director of Learning, Rachel Reed, for continued professional development. These meetings will be held during lunch, and we are looking for volunteers to help provide classroom coverage for these meetings. We would love it if you could please check out our sign-up genius and sign up to help with classroom lunchtime coverage in order to make this possible. We appreciate your help in this way! FUNDRAISERS & PTA

The Walk-a-Thon is quickly approaching on Friday, September 23rd! This is one of our largest fundraisers and the students have so much fun participating in it! Your child(ren) should have come home with an information/pledge sheet, along with an envelope. Pledge sheets AND money are due by the day of the event. Each student has a $100 fundraising goal, and the money raised is used for field trips and items to enrich the teachers' classrooms. Thank you for sharing in your child's enthusiasm for this event and helping make it a successful fundraiser!

The Heritage Christian School Fall Children's Clothing and Toy Sale will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 9am to 12:00. Items for sale include infant to teen clothing, snow gear, outdoor/indoor toys, books, games, shoes, baby equipment, maternity, and more. Delicious baked goods are also for sale! Located in the large gym at Heritage Christian at 6340 Autumn Dr., Hudsonville. Hope to see you there!

Join us Saturday, October 8, for Jenison Christian School's new and improved mom-to-mom sale! Shop our sale to find great deals on gently used children's clothing (size infant through teen), maternity clothing, baby items, books, games, toys, and sports equipment. The sale time has been extended this year from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. The sale will close briefly, and then re-open at 12:30 for a 15 minute grab bag sale (also new this year!). You will be able to purchase a bag for $10 that you can fill with items remaining at the sale. Admission is free and strollers are welcome.

Post Family Farm in Hudsonville is looking to hire energetic ADULTS for seasonal work this fall

(September and October). Opportunities include donut makers, tour guides, after school and Saturday festival workers. Donut making involves working with several others in our bakery making donuts, filling orders and running the cash register. Tour guides take a group of children, teachers and parents around the farm both on and off a tractor (training provided). After school and festival workers may work in donuts, office, tickets or drive tractor to the pumpkin patch. No previous experience is required for any position.
