Hygieneering Team Appreciation Night

On October 3rd, 2024, Hygieneering held an appreciation night at Compass Arena Fair Play Sports Bar to recognize the hard work and dedication of our team. This event was designed to express our gratitude for their contributions and commitment to Hygieneering. Attendees enjoyed a delightful evening filled with delicious food and drinks. It was a perfect opportunity for employees to unwind and strengthen their connections with one another, reinforcing the teamwork that drives our success. Thank you to all who attended!

Featured Service

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Training

OSHA HAZWOPER training provides vital safety and health information to workers who perform cleanup, emergency response or corrective actions involving the uncontrolled release of hazardous substances. This includes work related to hazardous chemical leaks, chemical fires and site preparation that uncovers buried hazardous waste. Hygieneering provides a variety of HAZWOPER training to include:

  • 40-Hour General Hazardous Waste Site Worker
  • First Responder Awareness Level
  • 8-Hour First Responder Operation Level
  • 24-Hour Hazardous Materials Technician / Hazardous Materials Specialist / Incident Commander
  • 8-Hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher


Hygieneering can provide OSHA HAZWOPER training at your site or at our 10,000 sq. ft. training facility located in Willowbrook, Illinois. Our training includes a mixture of classroom instruction and practical hands-on exercises.

Hygieneering Leads

First Aid, CPR, & AED Training

Hygieneering recently provided First Aid, CPR, and AED training to a nationwide food manufacturing company. Our experienced instructors, certified by the National Safety Council, successfully trained over 500 employees across multiple classes in various states.


Hygieneering offers customized training at client facilities in addition to hosting training sessions at our Willowbrook, IL training institute.

National Protect Your Hearing Month

National Protect Your Hearing Month, observed in October, is particularly relevant in workplace settings where noise exposure can be a significant health hazard.

  • IDPH Asbestos/Lead Inspector, Project Manager and Air Sampling Professional Licenses
  • Five (5) years' experience performing asbestos and lead inspection/industrial hygiene sampling
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant majors, is a plus

2025 SUMMER INTERNSHIPS


Internship Training Objectives will include, but not be limited to:

  1. Asbestos project management.
  2. Learn and be able to collect water samples for analysis.
  3. Learn and be able to develop energy control procedures per OSHA 1910.147 requirements.
  4. Learn and be able to perform general indoor air quality assessments.
  5. Learn and be able to perform general industrial hygiene assessments related to noise and air contaminants.
  6. Perform general industry and construction site inspections.
  7. Respiratory fit testing and training.
  8. Learn and be able to characterize spaces as permit or non-permit, per OSHA 1910.146 requirements.

Compliance Reminders

This is a friendly reminder that:

  • US DOT requires complete training for hazmat employees once every three years (49 CFR 172.704).
  • US EPA requires annual training for hazardous waste personnel (40 CFR 262.17).
  • US OSHA requires annual training for general site workers engaged in hazardous waste operations (29 CFR 1910(e)(9) as well as emergency response employees (29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8). 
  • OSHA states that each powered industrial vehicle operator must initially be trained and evaluated and operator’s performance must be evaluated at least once every 3 years. Hygieneering provides initial and refresher training for operators of powered industrial vehicles.
