Qi Elements is reopening for in-person classes. This message is about our Taijiquan and Taiji-Qigong classes as distinct from our Qigong. If you also expressed interest in Qigong classes,  you should soon receive that message. If you do not receive it, please notify me at qielements@qielements.com.

Our in-person classes will be held in our studio at 464 Herndon Parkway, Suite 215, Herndon, Virginia. We will also continue to provide remote learning via live streaming and video recordings.

We will be resuming our Taijiquan program as it existed pre-pandemic, excepting that contact exercises will be optional until the pandemic is over. If you would like to review the program’s content, click here. We will also be offering a Taiji-Qigong program for people who do not want to pursue the martial applications of Taiji. You can review that program’s content here

We accept students with a range of interests from those who wish to pursue one of our formal programs of study to obtain instructor certification to those who wish to attend the occasional class for personal enjoyment and enrichment. A commitment to serious study and regular attendance is necessary for acceptance into our formal programs of ranking and certification.

We will offer in-person classes in Taijiquan and Taiji-Qigong on Thursdays 9:30-10:30 AM, 6:30-7:30 PM, and 7:30-8:30 PM; Saturdays 9-10 AM and 10-11 AM as soon as we have five students enrolled in each of those slots. These classes will focus on beginning and intermediate levels of the programs. We will add more times as demand and the pandemic situation permits.

The first and most important information you need to know about our return to in-person classes is our pandemic precautions designed to help protect everyone attending against COVID and other viruses. You can read and download a copy of the precautions here. All students and instructors must adhere to the precautions. All students and instructors must be fully vaccinated.

Second, our fee structure will be as follows. Quarterly tuition will be $112/hr. Four hours a week will be $450 per quarter. Quarterly tuition includes access to the library of instructional documents and videos up to two levels above your current level of instruction.  Testing fees for sash ranking are an additional $30 for ranks yellow through brown, and $100 for black sash instructor certification. Drop-in fees are $25 per hour.

If you are interested in attending Taijiquan or Taiji-Qigong in-person classes please fill out and submit our enrollment package found here.

Please remember to include a copy or scan of your COVID 19 vaccination record with personal information except for name blacked out. Here’s mine.
