Rooster Roundup & Bounty Bird Return

We are excited to announce the return of the annual Rooster Roundup and Bounty Bird Hunting Contests! Beginning Nov. 13 and running through Jan. 31, 150 banded birds, 50 for Rooster Roundup and 100 for Bounty Bird, will be released into the Ford County Walk-In Hunting areas.

Ice Skating Returns to United Wireless Arena

On Nov. 1, United Wireless Arena will begin ice installation for the 2021-2022 skating sessions. Costs and schedule will be announced soon. Skaters can provide their own protective gear if desired. Doors will open 30 minutes before sessions begin. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).

A Storm is Brewing

The Southwest Storm, Dodge City’s new arena football team, recently announced its upcoming season schedule.


The new franchise is locally owned and operated, with home games hosted at United Wireless Arena. The Storm will be a part of the Champions Indoor Football League, which continues to grow, adding several new teams for the upcoming season.


The season kick-off is scheduled for Feb. 27 against the Arlington Longhorns in Dodge City.

Main Street Dodge City, a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization and preservation of historic downtown Dodge City, has been nominated to become one of America's Main Streets. The Independent We Stand Road to Recovery contest helps consumers, small business owners, and Main Street organizations reward a deserving Main Street with $25,000 in cash and sponsor-related prizes. Voting will continue through November 7.
