Two Times The Fun in 2021-
We Packed the Fun Into One Day!
Thank you to all of our alumni and friends who joined us from near and far for this year’s Homecoming, where we celebrated “Two Times the Fun packed into one day” on September 25th! The morning started with the Homecoming Parade, which moved and grooved its way down 4th Street in Canton, MO. For the first time in 50 years, the parade included the Culver-Stockton College Marching Band, which is under the direction of alumnus Ryan Christian `03. Alumni then made their way up “the Hill” to enjoy the Blue and White Tailgate at the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Recreation Health and Wellness Center. After enjoying a BBQ lunch, Wildcats headed to the football field to cheer on the Wildcat Football Team as they secured a tidy 44-36 V-I-C-T-O-R-Y over the Central Methodist University Eagles!

Alumnus Kyle Darnell `10 was the week's featured artist-in-residence in the Mabee Art Gallery, where his artwork “Chrysalis” was on display. Kyle’s work focuses on his individual pursuit of spirituality and the importance of self in regard to the grand cosmic perspective. He gave an artist talk to a group of alumni and friends who were on “the Hill” for Homecoming. Congratulations, Kyle!

The Mabee Center outdoor area came alive again on Saturday evening as the men of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity celebrated 50 years of brotherhood at Culver-Stockton College. More than 100 brothers and little sisters gathered for fellowship, dinner, and the opportunity to “rock out” to the sounds of the ATO Band, with LXA guest Dikkie Barnes on the drums!

The weather on “the Hill” was perfect and the feelings of joy were palpable as Wildcats were finally able to gather together again to turn back the clock and reminisce on the good old days.

Alumni in the News
Cindy Musgrave `80

We love to learn about alumni who continue to use the skills they developed during their time as students at Culver-Stockton College. Cindy Musgrave graduated from C-SC in 1980, with a degree in art and is now the owner of Artist’s Alley in Wray, CO. Her art will be displayed at Yuma Art Gallery, The Orphanage, during the month of October.

Her upcoming exhibition was covered in a local newspaper, which shared that “she started drawing as a child and, in fifth grade, she was able to take an adult oil painting class. This led to some commissioned paintings when she was in seventh and eighth grades. Her current interest is in alcohol ink on glass.”

Ryan Curtis `06

The San Antonio Spurs recently announced additions and promotions within their basketball operations staff, and you may recognize a familiar name, Culver-Stockton College alumnus Ryan Curtis `06.

Don Tolly `87
