This Weekend in Worship

On Sunday, May 21 we will share in a celebration and kick-off our summer theme: Be The Light. Festival worship is at 8:15 and 10:30 featuring all music ensembles. Brunch will be served at 9:30. Free-will donations will be received. Visit faithlc.org/bethelight for more information and to help with the brunch.

Synod Revival: Imagine

May 20

The Synod Revival is presented by the Southeastern Iowa Synod on Saturday, May 20 from 10:00—3:00 at Grand View University. This will be a one-day event designed to nourish and connect people to each other and to reimagine our relationships in and with the church. The Synod Revival is free of charge and is intended to be a joyful gathering for all ages full of inspiration, worship, and prayer. More information is at synodrevival.org.

Children & Family Day at the Park

May 21 | 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Children and families are invited to help kick off summer at the CFM Day at the Park on Sunday, May 21 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Meet at the Greenbelt Park shelter (Maddox Pkwy, Clive) for lawn games, kickball, and walking tacos for supper. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Click here if you plan to attend. All are welcome. Free-will donations will be received to help with food costs.

Guys' Night Out

Faith Lutheran Church Seeks an Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant performs clerical and office-related tasks that will support the overall function and activities of the church. Vacation Bible School

June 11 - 14

Mission Possible is the theme for VBS 2023.

Join us on June 11-14 as we learn about seemingly impossible stories from the Bible and how God helps us do amazing things to love and serve our neighbors. Children will learn about these stories through crafts, games, songs, and simulations.

PreK—6th graders will meet from 5:30—8:00 pm. A PreK-only option is offered from 9:30—11:30 am.

Build It Up: Middle School VBS

June 12 - 14

Current 5th - 7th graders are invited to join Pastor Megan and other awesome adults on June 12-14 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm for afternoons of Bible study, service projects, art activities, and field trips! (Yes - there will be Legos.) We will conclude our time together with dinner and then youth are free to help with Mission: Possible VBS in the evening. Cost is $75 per person and includes all food, activities, and a t-shirt. Contact Pastor Megan (641-831-9499 or megan@faithlc.org) to sign up or volunteer.

Summer Small Group Study

Sharing our Faith Stories

Dive deep into the congregation-wide theme “Be the Light” this summer by joining a small group for food, fellowship, and Bible study. The summer Bible study opens biblically-based conversations about how to be relational, flexible, and respectful in sharing God’s story with others in our daily lives.

The kick-off to the Bible study will be Sunday, June 11. Sign up today at faithlc.org/bethelight or in the church Commons. You may choose to be assigned to a group or self-select your group. To foster good conversation, a group of 6-8 people is suggested for the study.

Church Staff on Retreat

The Faith Lutheran Staff will be on retreat Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24. The office will be open with volunteers staffing the desk. For pastoral emergencies please call (515)421-8997.

Pastoral Visit and At-Home Communion
