Sunapee Heritage Alliance is pleased to announce a New Hampshire Humanities event tonight, Friday, August 5th at 6:00 pm.
Join us at The Livery while Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki uses traditional music to relay some of the adventures, misadventures, and emotions experienced by Irish emigrants. The focus is on songs about leaving Ireland. The presenter discusses the historical context of these songs, interspersing their stories with tunes from Ireland that made their way into New England’s musical repertoire, played on his fiddle or guitar.
This event - made possible by a grant from New Hampshire Humanities - is FREE and open to the public. There will be light refreshments served after his talk.
At 7:30 - following his talk - Jordan, and the rest of his trio will be performing live at The Livery. Tickets for his concert are $20 and are available for sale, now, at thelivery.org/tickets/ or at the door.
