AAUW Funds, Educational Funding and Awards

Back-to-the-Books Scholarship Application Available!


If you know of someone who has returned to college and can use some financial aid, please pass on the flyer. We are looking for women to award scholarship money to. 


They must be full-time or half-time students within one or two years of graduating, had a three-year break in their college education and live in one of the five towns our branch serves. 


Those working on an undergraduate or graduate degree may be awarded $3,000 if a full-time student or $1,500 if a half-time student or if they are working on an Associates degree they may be awarded $1,500 if a full-time student or $750 if a half-time student.  


Scholarship applications may be obtained from Coleen Walter. If you have any questions about the scholarship program, call her at 630-440-0098.

Interest groups include 4 book discussion groups, afternoon bridge, and Great Decisions (a world affairs discussion group) - as well as a History group. Following are some of the books being discussed in September.

Preventing Gun Violence Through a Community of Care

Thursday, September 22 at 7:00pm

Hadley Junior High Library

240 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn


Program will focus on a proactive approach to prevent gun violence in our communities. Speakers will include a clinical counselor and school superintendents from Downers Grove and Glen Ellyn high schools and elementary schools.


This program is in conjunction with the Glen Ellyn League. No registration is requested for this program.
