Save the date for the return of CVOEO's acclaimed international fashion show! Karibu, which means "welcome" in Swahili, is an energetic, community-centered event that celebrates the cultural diversity of the Burlington area through bold clothing with beautiful accessories and is an occasion to showcase the talents of New American makers and models.
All funds raised through this event support asylum seekers in Vermont, many of whom do not have health insurance or the income to cover even simple medical costs. The CVOEO Asylum Seekers Assistance Program provides asylees with emergency funds to purchase essential personal hygiene items, diapers, food, and medicine.
We hope you will join us on Saturday, September 24th, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fleming Museum of Art for an engaging show, an afternoon of fun, and an opportunity to make a difference in your community.
