It’s time to mark your calendars!

At CVOEO, the next few months offer renewed and exciting ways to come together and support our friends and neighbors. For many of us, it has been months, or even years, since we last gathered in-person, and now is our chance to reconnect while showing up in solidarity with those most vulnerable among us.

Please consider joining us as we celebrate our community, take care of our neighbors, and raise funds for essential services and resources. Explore our featured events below and be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for even more updates and opportunities to get involved.
2022 Karibu Fashion Show
Save the date for the return of CVOEO's acclaimed international fashion show! Karibu, which means "welcome" in Swahili, is an energetic, community-centered event that celebrates the cultural diversity of the Burlington area through bold clothing with beautiful accessories and is an occasion to showcase the talents of New American makers and models.

All funds raised through this event support asylum seekers in Vermont, many of whom do not have health insurance or the income to cover even simple medical costs. The CVOEO Asylum Seekers Assistance Program provides asylees with emergency funds to purchase essential personal hygiene items, diapers, food, and medicine.

We hope you will join us on Saturday, September 24th, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fleming Museum of Art for an engaging show, an afternoon of fun, and an opportunity to make a difference in your community.

19th Annual Tim's House Golf Tournament
The Annual Tim’s House Golf Classic, organized by CVOEO's Samaritan House, returns to the Champlain Country Club on August 19th!

Featuring golf, delicious food, and great prizes, the Tim’s House Golf Classic is a fun day, and every penny raised from the event stays in the community to help our neighbors. Team slots are full for 2022, but we’re still looking for sponsors, volunteers, and items for the silent auction.

If you’d like to support one of the biggest charitable events in our area, email Ben Kaufmann, Program Director, Samaritan House for more information.
