New child poverty data illustrate the powerful impact of America's safety net programs, per The Annie E. Casey Foundation. The 2020 SPM suggests that federal government stimulus payments and refundable tax credits lifted 4.6 million children out of poverty.

New Online Tool Helps Tenants


The COVID Eviction Legal Help Project team at the Mass Law Reform Institute has just released MADE: Up To Code. This new website helps tenants document bad conditions in their home and take action to get repairs. This is a user-friendly tool that allows tenants to take concrete steps to assert their rights.

Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity released their latest report, Mismatched: Philanthropy’s Response to the Call for Racial Justice, the most comprehensive assessment of racial equity and racial justice funding to date, providing a detailed analysis of funding from 2015–2018 and a preliminary analysis for 2020.
