ASL Poetry:  A Creative Way to Play with ASL

This is a 4-week class

Want a creative way to play with ASL? This poetry webinar is for you and your family!

Creating and sharing poetry in ASL is a fun and creative activity. ASL poetry incorporates figurative language such as: repetition, rhyme, rhythm, alliteration, symbols, metaphors, and more with the five parameters. It also utilizes unique features of speed, pauses, and classifiers.

In this series of four online classes, you will:

  • learn the basic principles of telling an ASL poem
  • see video examples of ASL poems
  • create your own ASL poem video (optional)
  • discuss your process for creating your poem and get feedback for improvement

Join us for this 4-week class to improve your ASL, have fun with your family, and gain experience with a new form of artistic expression!

Class size is limited so you get lots of personalized instruction and ample practice time.
