BRATECC Summer Business Mixer 2022 Recap
We announced exciting news, such as the renewal of our mutual cooperation with the U.S. Commercial Service (Houston Office), represented by its newly-appointed Director Jason Wilson. We also shared the approval by NASA's Legal Department for Carlos Westhelle to join our Advisory Board.⁠ Finally, Ambassador Maria Izabel Vieira, Consul General of Brazil in Houston, and Christopher Olson, Director City of Houston Mayor's Office of Trade & International Affairs, described both government entities' commitment to helping Texas companies do business in Brazil and vice-versa.

New BRATECC Advisory Board Member
We are highly honored to announce that BRATECC is expanding our goals to grow and expand the aerospace industry in Texas. To do so, Carlos Westhelle, Chief of the Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics Division at NASA's Johnson Space Center is joining our Advisory Board, as a NASA liaison to BRATECC. This step will allow us to collaborate on our common mission to increase the U.S.-Brazil bi-lateral relationship in the aerospace industries and grow the regional economy.

U.S. Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs visits Brazil
"U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Rena Bitter visited Brazil. In Brasilia, she led the participation of a U.S. delegation for the bilateral Consular Dialogue with counterparts from the Brazilian government. During the Dialogue, Assistant Secretary Bitter addressed issues such as international parental child abduction and facilitating legitimate travel, including visa issues."
