The Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed their new member, Night Owl Tiki Bar, located at the Castro Valley Marketplace. 

Congratulations to Brandon Blackmon and team for a wonderful grand opening featuring yummy Tiki Cocktails, music and food.

Business Resources | Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant
Now Open - Application Period | May 17 to August 12, 2022

The California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant Program provides grants of $2,500 to eligible microbusinesses impacted by COVID-19. Grants are a first-come, first-serve basis. Please apply as soon as possible.

Here are the grant requirements:
  • Applicants must have been in business prior to 12/31/2019
  • Must have had less than 5 full-time equivalent employees in 2019 and 2020
  • Must have less than $50,000 (and greater than $1,000) in gross income in 2019
  • Must not have received the California COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant
  • Business must be operating operating or have a plan to reopen
  • Business must have been significantly impacted by COVID-19
  • Business must be the owner’s primary means of income
Grant is being managed by the Chabot – Las Positas Community College District

New Streetscape Underway | Phase 1 on Mission Blvd
The Mission Boulevard Corridor Improvement Project extends from Highway 238 to Rose Street (Hayward City Limit) in Cherryland.

Overhead utilities will be undergrounded underground in the project limits in the first phase.
