Moreno Valley's Pavement Rehabilitation Program is Underway 

In this edition of the Mayor's Minute, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez announces that the citywide Pavement Rehabilitation Program is officially underway!


The $50 million Pavement Rehabilitation Program will repave nearly 190 miles of roads throughout Moreno Valley, condensing ten years' worth of road work in just 18 months. It's the largest Public Works Project in Moreno Valley's history!

Mayor and City Council Celebrate the Grand Opening of Mr. Fries Man

Get excited, MoVal! Mr. Fries Man is officially open!


Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez and the Moreno Valley City Council helped cut the ribbon to officially open Moreno Valley's newest restaurant. 


The August 27 grand opening event featured performances from the Vista del Lago High School band and Garvey-Allen Academy, as well as an appearance from rapper/entertainer Xzibit!

City Wins Prestigious Award for Excellence in Procurement

The City of Moreno Valley has been awarded the 2022 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) from the National Procurement Institute (NPI). This is the fifth consecutive AEP award for the City, and it honors public and non-profit agencies that have demonstrated continued excellence, innovation, transparency, and best practices in public procurement.


Moreno Valley is one of only 73 cities across the United States and Canada to receive this award. 


In cities like Moreno Valley, procurement involves bidding, soliciting offers, and making formal and informal purchases for projects and initiatives that better the community. The AEP award is given to agencies that embrace innovation, professionalism, productivity, leadership, and online procurement.
