“We waste so much energy trying to cover up who we are when beneath every attitude is the want to be loved, and beneath every anger is a wound to be healed and beneath every sadness is the fear that there will not be enough time."― Mark Nepo

Summer Sundays

From Minister Margery Rossi
Joyful News!
Friends-

On June 21, Cirsten Conneely was accepted by the Hudson River Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry as an Inquirer into the process of becoming a Minister of Word and Sacrament.
South's Session will provide support as we accompany Cirsten through this time of discernment.

Next steps: Cirsten will spend some time working with the committee to determine what she needs to complete her educational requirements (she already holds a Master’s in Divinity), and I will meet with a member of the committee to learn how we, as a congregation, can support her through this process.

For now, please hold Cirsten in your prayers and congratulate her when you see her next!

Margery Rossi's piece in Unbound
Just published: "Pregnancy Loss & Abortion Bans: Whose Life Matters?" - a timely piece by Margery Rossi about her own experiences with pregnancy loss and access to necessary health care, in light of the possible end of Roe v Wade, the landmark Supreme Court ruling that grants federal protection to abortion rights.

Your support sustains our worship and service opportunities, music and arts programs, and more.

Our hears are thankful for: Linda Jo's sister who is continuing in her recovery, a successful eye surgery, welcoming back Marcelo and Akiko, for Andrew's birthday, all those who graduated.
