Scholarships

Firstly, we would like to give a HUGE thank you to the judges, who remain anonymous, known only to a volunteer judges chairperson. Each and every judge reads through 80 pages+ , in each category, of scholarship applications in order to award the scholarship to the most deserving applicants. It is not an easy job as we know that all candidates are worthy!

Secondly, these scholarships would not be available without the support of Sponsors and family members who wish to remember their loved ones by creating legacy scholarships.

Our Industry and Diversity Scholarships are at the applicant review stage and recipients will be contacted by the end of this month.

Our Future Leaders Scholarships will be awarded in November with the Deans of each school nominating their candidates in October as the Brewmaster, Nancy More Scholarship KPU.

The BCHF's Board of Directors has TWO Vacancies coming up! In preparation for our AGM the Nominations Committee is reviewing applications.

If you are interested and want to share your strengths to make the Foundation stronger, please fill out the Nominations Form by May 15, 2023. Our nominations committee will contact the selected candidates.

This year, we have awarded $53,100 and we are not even half way through 2023.We have been receiving between 2 and 3 applications for assistance every month since January. At this rate, we are looking at least at 21 more applications, which at an average per applicant of $5,000, means potentially a total of $105,000!!
