FMCSA “Motorcoach 18-CARAT” Virtual Workshop Held January 27th
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Pennsylvania Division virtually hosted their annual outreach & educational workshop, tailored for all Pennsylvania motorcoach carriers. This Motorcoach 18-CARAT Workshop provided Compliance Assistance and Regulatory Accountability Training (CARAT) for motorcoach carriers. Attendees received the latest updates from FMCSA impacting the motorcoach industry and learned what to expect during a compliance investigation, steps to take to improve your safety performance and more! Nominate a driver or an employee whom you feel deserves special recognition for their 2021 dedication, safety record, and commitment to your company and the motorcoach industry in general. The awards will be presented at PBA's Annual Meeting & Conference in June. Don’t Fall Behind, Submit Your CERTS Grant Compliance Report on Time! CERTS Filing Deadline February 15, 2022
The CERTS Grant compliance reports are only available as an online fillable form which you can access through the CERTS Grant Portal. Click here on the Treasury web page to log into the CERTS Grant Portal to fill out and file your report.
Tips on how to complete and file the compliance report can be found in the CERTS Grant Users Guide. This 20 page guide has a detailed explanation for how to approach each item.
If you used a grant writer to submit your application or a 3rd party to assist you with your reporting, check out this Guidance on clarifying your authorized company reporting representative and how to make changes.
If you have any questions on the CERTS grant compliance report, please send an email to CERTS@treasury.gov.

The cleanup effort is in full swing, with the terrain and conditions presenting workers on the ground with significant challenges. OSHA Formally Withdraws Its COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
The withdrawal of the standard comes after a Jan. 13 U.S. Supreme Court opinion staying the standard, saying that challengers to the rule, including American Trucking Associations, were likely to prevail on their claims. Training Provider Registry Now Fully Operational
All entities that provide entry-level driver training, as defined by the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations (see 49 CFR part 380 subparts F and G), must now access the Training Provider Registry to submit driver training certification records within two business days of a driver’s training completion. Log in to your Training Provider Portal to get started or download the instructions.
All CDL applicants who are required to take entry-level driver training must use the Training Provider Registry to search for a registered training provider. The interactive provider search is now available. Visit their website.
