Dear Prince Families:

We look forward to tomorrow night’s honor society inductions that start at 7:00 p.m. in the worship center. We have nineteen athletic events scheduled this week, fine arts continues to prepare for the fall production Crazy for You, and our Little Prince Players have rehearsal, too.

We have an “announced lockdown drill” this Tuesday morning and a second “unannounced lockdown drill” within the next two weeks to implement any lessons learned from our first announced drill. If you are new to Prince, you will receive “parent alert” text messages that state “DRILL” when these lockdown drills start and stop, so please do not be alarmed.

Today marks the twenty-first anniversary of 9/11, a terrible day of fire when a determined enemy sought to destroy our liberty and American way of life. I encourage you to have an age-appropriate discussion about that historical event with your student, the ensuing mobilization of our nation, and the sacrifices made to support and defend our United States Constitution. Children’s character is shaped by what they are taught in the home, school, and church and the examples modeled for them. What we choose to teach our children and how we live our lives are critical elements in shaping the character of tomorrow’s leaders.

With warm regards and in His service,

Col Seth Hathaway, Ed.D.
