This Sunday's Communion Offering

UMCOR and MEF

Part of this Sunday's Communion offering will be used in our Conference tornado recovery efforts as UMCOR (the United Methodist Committee on Relief) guides us in our local own disaster response.

We will also dedicate a portion of the communion offering for The North Georgia Conference Ministerial Education Fund (MEF).

MEF is funded by United Methodists to provide scholarships to seminary and undergraduate students, course-of-study for local pastors, and license to preach school.

MEF is a general church-apportioned fund of which 25 percent is retained by our conference. But 100 percent of the giving to the Annual Conference Ordination Offering will go to United Methodist seminary and course of study students in the North Georgia Conference.

Pam's Meal Train

One of our dear members, Pam Davis had a very successful knee replacement surgery. Help Pam & Andy during the recovery process after surgery.

Let's show them some love! Sign up here to support our friends with a meal or two.

We're ready to celebrate our graduates!

If you are or have a child graduating from High School, College, or Graduate School please email Rev. Jess Cusick so we can be sure to include them in our celebration of graduates on May 7, 2023.

Welcome Johnny Sims,

Director of Online Ministry

Saint Mark welcomes Johnny Sims to the staff as our part-time Director of Online Ministry.

Johnny is originally from Alabama and a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).  He has been working in the Information Technology industry since 1984. In 2010, he started his own consulting firm Techiebud, LLC.   Since the pandemic, Johnny has branched out into the multimedia field and has been instrumental in helping create and maintain the live-stream broadcast of the church's weekly worship service.

One of Johnny's favorite pastime activities is playing frisbee with his two Border Collies.    He also enjoys taking vacation cruises when he can.

Drawing the Circle Wide

2nd Chronicles 7:14 instructs us to HUMBLE ourselves and PRAY, to turn from our wicked ways and seek God’s face. Then we shall hear from heaven and God will heal our land.

On April 30th, many gathered on our playground and humbly asked God to bless us with the presence of children of all ages. The petition has been submitted and we stand now on the promise that God has heard our supplication. Thanks to ALL who stood with us both in body and in spirit.

Bishop Dease Invites Laity Feedback

on District-Level Resources

Dear North Georgia Conference Laity,

As we look toward the future of United Methodism in the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church, I invite your input regarding the ministry of our District Superintendents and our District Strategic Growth Teams. Their relationship with the local church is vital to our connectional system and your insight as a layperson is greatly appreciated.

Please complete the survey at this link.

In the coming months, I plan to reach out to you again about other priority areas. Thank you for your valuable insight and thank you for your ministry.

Your Co-Laborer,

Bishop Dease

Midtown MethEnders Meetings

Wesley Woods Mother’s Day Offering

Sunday, May 14

On Sunday, May 14, we will collect a special offering for Wesley Woods.

The Wesley Woods Mother’s Day offering provides critical funding for charitable financial assistance with housing and meals, pastoral care, and wellness programming to older adults living in a Wesley Woods community.

Are we ready for an Atlanta RMN celebration with a side of singing and dancing?

Let it Sing is a concert by Doronte Evans crafted with love from songs that inspired and motivated him. This solo performance is full of well known songs that will make you want to jump out of your seat and sing along. Come enjoy the language of music at its best with this fun filled night to benefit RMN.

Saint Mark UMC is hosting this fundraising concert, which will bring this artist back to his hometown for this one night.

Purchase your tickets here!

All of the proceeds from this concert will go towards the justice and inclusion work of Reconciling Ministries Network.

Your generosity allows us to love, accept, and serve the people of our community. To donate to Saint Mark, click the button below.
