Scouts Ready for Thrills and Chills
of Winter Camp!

The nationally recognized, "Barstow Bundles," merit badge program from the summer is now in place for Scouts to experience next month at the popular Winter Camp at Camp Barstow on Lake Murray. The camp will begin Friday evening, December 16th and conclude late afternoon on Monday, December 19th. Please use this link for more information:
 
New Awards Site is Up
Makes Nominating Easy

The Indian Waters Council has a new Award Nominations Portal on its website to access nomination forms and submit them electronically. Information and forms for the following prestigious awards can be accessed there and their nominations are due by December 18th: Silver Beaver Award, Alumnus of the Year Award, and NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award. You can also view a list of all past recipients of each of these awards on that site!

The Award Nominations Portal also has forms for the NESA Eagle Scout Project of the Year Award (nominations due by January 31st) and the District Award of Merit (deadlines vary by district).

OA Winter Banquet: "Better Together"
January 7, 2023, in Sumter

Excitement is building as two historic Order of the Arrow lodges officially become one when the Santee Lodge #116 and the Muscogee Lodge #221 convene together at this year's Winter Banquet. The event, themed, "Better Together," will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sumter on Saturday, January 7th.

The banquet fee is just $12.50 per-person and includes dinner and program (6:00 p.m.) and a commemorative patch. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle starting at 5:00 PM. The combined annual business meeting will take place at 1:00 PM that day (same location), and will include elections, bylaws approval, and other business matters of the new lodge.
