11am worship update: In recent years, an 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship service had been added to the schedule of weekend services at the start of November. This year, Covid-related concerns continue to cause lower-than-normal attendance; therefore, the 11:00 a.m. service will be reinstated at Epiphany, beginning the weekend of January 8-9.

Be "In the Know"...
Haiti Update
I just got off the phone with Pastor Livenson and he is well. He and his family are in the countryside as it is safer than Port-au-Prince at this time. He says things continue to escalate there with the bandits and kidnappings etc but he states one day at a time. They are managing. We talked about our conversations over the past few years where things were so bad there at different times for different reasons and we couldn't believe they could survive but they continue to persevere with God's help and the help from the synod and the congregations. He is always so hopeful and continues his ministries with such an open heart. His faith shows in every action he takes and the world is a better place for having him in it. He reminds me that God is good when I have my doubts. What an incredible example he is of God's work, our hands every moment of his day.

Knew you all would be happy to hear that's he and his family are well.

He thanks everyone for their prayers.

How about some day-trip'n?
We are hopefully moving more out of the covid world and back to "normal". The Fellowship Committee is considering several day trips in the December timeframe and would like to gauge the interest of our members. The two places being considered are Edison and Ford Winter Estates and Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium in Fort Myers. Please contact Jadynne Berg if you are interested in either one of the trips so they can get to planning.
Humans Welcome!
Coffee and donuts are available at both exits of the sanctuary every Sunday between services.
Stay after or come early between
9:15-10:00am to catch
up with fellow members!!
This Sunday at 11am

CHILDRENS' CLOSET
The Children's Closet committee is ready to start anew after a long Covid delay. However, all our bins of clothing are now sporting mold and mildew. In lieu of starting from square one, it was decided to change our mission. We will be collecting NEW clothing which will be donated to "Kids Needs" in Englewood.

We are looking for donations of new clothing, pj's, socks, and undies for children 5 years through 12 years. Please drop off items in the church office during the week, or in the bin located in the church library during weekend services thru December 5th when we will deliver them to make a better Christmas for local children .

Barb's Medical Minute...Who Knew?
We all have cravings. Especially if we are trying to lose weight. It is a craving if there is an intensity and specificity for a particular food or type of food, which is the difference between just being hungry and having a craving. Here are 4 tips to help:
 1. Wait it Out. A craving will hit, then peak and then come down. So, wait 10 minutes and see if it goes away. If the craving is stress related, try taking a walk or meditating.
 2. Drink a Glass of Water. Sometimes those energy slumps and cravings are caused by dehydration.
 3. Try a Healthier Swap. Keep better-for-you foods that are similar to the ones you crave on hand. For example, if the craving is potato chips, have some nuts. If its candy, have a piece of dark chocolate.
 4. If you can’t get over it, indulge the craving and move on. If the craving isn’t going away, then eat a small portion of the food. Relish each bite or piece and eat slowly so you end up feeling satisfied.
At least you’re in good company, since 90% of us have food cravings! (Red Licorice….Yum!)
