Transportation Supply Chain Forum on September 28th
FuzeHub, NAmTrans, and Alliance for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) are hosting a Transportation Supply Chain Forum on Wednesday, September 28 from 9 am–3 pm. The forum will be in-person at the Radisson Hotel in Corning. Exhibitors include Alstom, Nova Bus, and BAE Systems–prime contractors in air or ground transportation. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with the “primes” to either increase sales, leverage the transportation supply chain, and more!

2020 Water & Sewer Evaluation Update Complete
IAED and T.G. Miller completed a final draft of the long-awaited 2020 Water & Sewer Evaluation Update (2020 Update). The 2020 Update documents progress in implementing system improvements and suggests forward-looking ‘priority objectives’ that facility operators and municipalities can use to bridge capacity gaps, resolve governance issues, and facilitate infrastructure planning. The 2020 Update is not just a snapshot, it’s also a tool to build consensus and enhance redundancy and reliability in future years.

Exotanium Receives DOE Small Business Innovation Grant, Seeking Talent
A rising star among early-stage, hi-tech companies spun out of Cornell University, Exotanium was recently awarded a Department of Energy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant of $1.15M to further their innovative software solution that helps software developers save money on cloud-based hosts like Amazon Web Services. The company is also growing and currently looking for outstanding Solutions Architects, Software Engineers, and a Product Manager with extensive enterprise software support.
IAED participated in Exotanium's convertible debt round. That transaction represents one of three made from IAED’s Opportunity Fund, designed to support early-stage, high-growth companies.

HOLT Architects Achieves WELL Certification & Best Places to Work Award
In July, HOLT Architects earned the WELL Certification through the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). The WELL Health-Safety Rating is a third-party verification system for all new and existing buildings and spaces and is designed to empower businesses to prioritize the health and safety of staff, visitors, and stakeholders.
HOLT also received a 2022 Best Places to Work Award by the Biz Event/CNY Business Journal for the tenth consecutive year! The rating is based on employee feedback and the firm’s focus on flexibility and quality of work. Congrats to HOLT for all of their accomplishments!

Small Business Administration Extends EIDL Loan Deferment
Due to the continued adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Small Business Administration (SBA) is extending previous deferments to Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) borrowers to provide another six-month stay of principal and interest payments.

Do You Have Employees That Need Help Paying for Childcare?
Tompkins County Department of Social Services (DSS) recently expanded the number of families who are eligible for assistance with childcare costs by increasing the income guideline to 300% of the federal poverty level. For a family of four living in Tompkins County, the new limit is $83,250.
Interested families are encouraged to visit the DSS website or call (607) 274-5612 for more information on income eligibility and how to apply.

Purpose: Support people in recovery by receiving education and training support, new job opportunities, and maintaining a recovery-friendly workplace and employer base.
