Support Your Osher Institute
Why is it important to donate to the Osher Excellence Fund? One of the criteria of being a designated Osher Institute is that we can demonstrate member support, which means we can remain a self-sustaining program well into the future. The funds themselves are important to support programming, speaker fees, materials/supplies, and pieces such as the catalogs; however, it is equally important to show a strong percentage of member contributions to the Excellence Fund. Some Institutes have 50-60% of their members contributing, and others (much like us) have 23-27% of members who donate.

One simple way to increase our percentage is for members residing in a household to donate individually. If one member has previously donated for both members, simply dividing the amount between the two members increases the percentage of giving. Your gift, at any level, is an indication of the value of having classes and programs that feed your interests.

If you have already donated this year, thank you. If you are new to Osher and have not yet contributed to this fund, please consider doing so. You can donate in honor of or in memoriam of a loved one, give a one-time gift, or become a sustaining member to support programming all year. Visit the Make a Gift page to donate. Thank you!
Recruit a Member!
The Osher Institute continues to grow, but we need your support in bringing members back to our organization. This year, as society continues to rebound, we hope to see a return of members and also to welcome new individuals to our lifelong learning community. Please reach out to someone you know who would enjoy classes and interaction with others. With our current protocols and practices in place, Osher offers a healthy and safe classroom experience.

Osher Office Art Exhibit
For the month of September, Kellie Cosho, local artist and Osher member, will exhibit pieces of her art in the Osher Institute office. Kellie was born and raised in Seattle, WA and moved to Idaho to attend the University of Idaho. Like many artists, she has painted all her life. Her works have evolved from realistic landscapes and still lifes in oil and watercolor to abstract pieces in ink, pastel, and acrylic. Kellie has shown in galleries throughout the Northwest. She works and shows in her home studio.

Be sure to stop by the Osher office this month to see Kellie's artwork. Thank you, Kellie, for sharing your talent with Osher!
